I developed this program after working with several clients and seeing the true value of this process.

One of the key benefits is that you get weekly check-ins with personalized attention. Just like with a fitness coach, this helps keep you stay motivated and accountable!

After meeting weekly for the first four weeks, we then meet bi-weekly. This allow for a healthy balance between having sessions together + work that you can do on your own to create progress.

  • The sessions are mostly virtual. For folks in the San Francisco Bay Area, we can meet in person.

We’ll start with your 90 minute in-depth consultation. This is where you get to share everything your heart desires about your health history, including info on your family’s health and lifestyle factors. I’ll ask you deeper questions to get at the root cause of what’s going on.

  • Great question!

Herbalism is one of the oldest healing practices in human history, with roots in various traditional systems of medicine from around the world, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, Native American medicine, and traditional European herbalism.

Herbalism is art. It is medicine. It is science. It is soul work. It is a deep connection to nature. It is energetic healing.

Herbalists, or practitioners of herbalism, use various parts of plants such as leaves, stems, roots, seeds, and flowers to create remedies to promote stable wellbeing and support the body's natural healing processes.

The use of herbalism is often based on a combination of traditional knowledge, empirical observations and scientific research. Many herbs contain bioactive compounds that have medicinal properties, and herbalists seek to harness these properties to address various health concerns.

Herbal remedies come in many forms: from teas, to tinctures, glycerites, flower essences, herbal powders, elixirs, oxymels and more!

  • An herbalist is a holistic health practitioner who is specifically trained in plant medicine to promote healing and wellness.

As a Clinical Herbalist, I am certified and have trained for over 800 hours with wonderful herbalists from around the world.

My herbal practice is rooted in Western Folk herbalism with a blend of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Wise Women folk traditions.

I bring in-depth knowledge of the health benefits of herbs and natural remedies, including plant chemistry, herbal energetics, anatomy, physiology, and understanding why plants truly do work with our bodies.

When working with clients, I use different modalities to gather information on medical history, family's health history, lifestyle factors, nutrition. diet, fitness, stress, physical ailments and more. I often see people who are struggling with:

    - Digestive issues (IBS, IBD, GERD, Leaky Gut, Crohn's, Colitis, Ileitis)

-Lack of energy or sleep isseus

    -Auto-immune conditions

    -Hormonal + women's health

Choosing the right practitioner is similar to choosing the right therapist, or the right fitness coach. It can take time. It's about finding someone who you think shares your values and works well with you.

My life's passion to support folks with improving the mind-gut connection!

Through my extensive training as a Clinical Herbalist and personal experiences having Crohn’s Disease , I'm incredibly happy to be able to share support and loving care with others.

My practice is based in a trauma-informed framework. I believe it is essential to incorporate this and offer the right tools to my clients. It's the kind of care that we all deserve.

A lot of people come to Herbalists at a point where they've tried many other options and feel vulnerable. I understand this because I've been in this very same place. I work with people to address their primary health goals and achieve success in improving their natural health.

You are the expert of your own body! And I'm here to support you in your wellness journey.

  • The microbiome test is called GI-Map and uses a stool sample. This is considered a very high standard within this field of testing, having extensive research and processes. GI-Map uses q-PCR technology to identify your gut microbiome and indicators of inflammation or gut issues, being able to measure specific kinds of bacteria, fungi, yeast and more. It measures how much of these microbes are actually present which is useful.

I'm able to provide access to all of my clients to the tests through a service called Rupa Health.

The GI-Map is about $389 + Rupa's fees. This would be additional to my services and you would pay Rupa Health directly. I offer this as a straight pass-through costs because I'm all about empowering folks to have access to their own health info.

Most practitioners who "include" these tests are actually charging an extra fee for them to review the results. I don't believe in charging extra on that.

If you decide you want this, I provide - at no extra cost - the time and attention during a session to review these results with you.

Currently this test cannot be offered to folks who live in NY, NJ or RI.

  • I truly aim to support people on their health journey and the best results happen typically around 3 months. This is why I developed the program, after seeing the impact it has with many clients!

That said, I always want to help folks. So if you’re interested and this is resonating with you, please do reach out for a discovery call! We can chat from there.

  • Absolutely! You can book a free discovery call or message me at laura@nurtureforall.com. Please note that this email is “nurture for all” and not nurture gut health.
